Claudenia delivers professional advisory services, not physical products. The refund framework below applies to every service we offer (tax planning, bookkeeping, audit, advisory, payroll, CAC filings) and to the retainer or fixed-fee engagements documented in our scope letters.
1. The 14-day satisfaction guarantee
If, within the first 14 calendar days of an engagement, you are not satisfied with the partner allocated, the response times or the quality of the deliverables produced so far, you may request a full refund of any fees paid up to that point. The request must be made in writing to info@claudenigeria.info. We will return the funds to your originating account within 7 business days.
2. After day 14 — partial refunds
From day 15 onwards, refunds are calculated on a pro-rata basis. We deduct (a) the hours already invested by our team at the documented rate card, (b) any out-of-pocket expenses incurred on your behalf (couriers, statutory filing fees, third-party software licences) and (c) a 5% administrative charge to cover banking and reconciliation costs. The remaining balance is refunded within 14 business days.
3. Non-refundable items
- Statutory fees already paid on your behalf to FIRS, LIRS, CAC, FRC of Nigeria, NHIA, NSITF, PenCom or any other regulator.
- Bank charges, courier costs and notarisation fees disbursed on your behalf.
- Third-party subscriptions purchased at your request (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, Hubdoc, Dext, etc.).
- Bespoke training and workshops once attended.
- Reports already delivered and accepted in writing.
4. How to request a refund
Send an email titled "Refund request — [your engagement reference]" to info@claudenigeria.info. Include the reason for the request and the date of original payment. A partner will respond within 3 business days with the proposed refund amount and supporting calculation. Once you confirm, we transfer the funds within the timeframes above.
5. Ending an ongoing retainer
Monthly retainers can be cancelled at the end of any calendar month with 30 days' written notice. Annual retainers paid upfront are refundable for any unused full months less the 5% administrative charge described in section 2.
6. Free consultations
Initial 30-minute discovery consultations are free of charge and therefore not refundable. There is no obligation to engage Claudenia after the consultation, and we will never invoice for work that was not agreed in writing.
7. Disputes
If we cannot agree on a refund amount, we will refer the matter to the ICAN Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria Professional Practice Monitoring department for independent review. We will abide by any reasonable adjustment they propose.
8. How quickly we usually pay
In 2025 our average refund processing time, measured from the day the calculation is agreed, has been 4.6 business days. Naira refunds are returned to the originating Nigerian bank account. Foreign-currency refunds are returned in the original currency, less any FX bank charges.
