Audit & Assurance Services
Statutory audits, donor-grant assurance and due diligence — done with the precision your stakeholders expect, in the timeline you actually need.
An audit team that finishes what it starts
Claudenia is a registered audit firm with the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRC). Our 14-person audit practice signs 184 statutory audits and 28 donor-grant audits a year, and 92% of them are delivered inside the agreed timeline.
We work to International Standards on Auditing, the IFAC Code of Ethics and the FRC's quality framework. Every audit is led by an FCA partner who personally reviews the file before sign-off.
- Statutory audit of financial statements under IFRS or SMEGAAP
- NGO and donor-funded programme audits (USAID, GIZ, FCDO, EU)
- Internal audit co-sourcing for in-house teams
- Pre-investment financial due diligence
- Forensic reviews and fraud investigations
Why our audits run on time
The biggest cost of an audit is not the fee — it is the disruption when it overruns. Our process protects you from that.
- Pre-audit readiness review four weeks before fieldwork begins
- Single shared data-room with a documented index, not a flurry of emails
- Weekly status calls with a written progress note
- Capped fee — overruns of more than 10% need a partner sign-off and your written agreement
- Audit committee briefing pack delivered before sign-off
Audit · frequently asked questions
Are you a registered audit firm with the FRC of Nigeria?
Yes. Claudenia is registered with the FRC of Nigeria as an audit firm. Our partners are FCAs who hold practising certificates issued by ICAN.
How long does an audit take from start to finish?
For a Lagos SME with clean, audit-ready books we typically issue the opinion 14 working days after fieldwork starts. Larger groups with multi-entity consolidations run 28–35 working days.
What does a statutory audit cost?
Fees start at ₦1.8m for small companies and increase based on turnover, entity count and complexity. Every audit fee is fixed in a scope letter and capped against scope changes.
Do you provide donor-grant audits in English or French?
We deliver in English. Where French is required by the donor we partner with a francophone West African firm; both reports are signed.
